Worthington, OH – 4/2/2015
Consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies recognize their vital role in coordinating category management and shopper insights to help retailers keep up with the ever-changing consumer. To meet this need, Learning Evolution and Prosper Technologies have expanded their relationship to integrate Prosper’s Science of Influence metrics into Learning Evolution’s certified online category management and shopper marketing training programs for CPG and Retail firms.
Recent findings by the Applied Neuromarketing Consortium published in Frontiers of Neuroscience indicate that there is now considerable justification for the use of media influence as a marketing, media and promotion variable. Prosper has tracked media influence to purchase for well over a decade, and now users of Learning Evolution’s training programs will have access to these influence metrics.
“In an increasingly digital and consumer-driven market, business leaders know that a knowledgeable workforce is key to growth and sustainable profits,” said Scott Matthews, Managing Partner & CEO of Learning Evolution. “In addition to the integration of real-time consumer economic insights and analytics, our expanded relationship with Prosper will provide our client’s category professionals, sales and support teams with advanced media metrics to gain a unique advantage in the marketplace.”
Prosper Technologies and Learning Evolution first connected in 2012 to add shopper insights into online certified training programs as interactive case study work. The goal was to provide students working toward building skills and knowledge in category management or seeking industry certification to utilize and practice with real-world actual consumer and shopper data and insights. The online training when combined with the shopper insights platform helps students learn to evaluate and find trends with suppliers, retailers, aisles, categories, category segments and category sub-segments and brands/SKU’s. This helps students learn to use data and trends to tell a story and to share with their business partner something they don’t already know.
“Consumer packaged goods and retail companies are always on the lookout for the best information available to understand the changing behaviors and media usage of today’s consumer,” said Phil Rist, EVP of Prosper. “Our expanded relationship with Learning Evolution will allow their clients to have access to the latest methods for marketing effectiveness.”
